Community Profile
Every two years the San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and all other Komen for the Cure Affiliates develop a community needs assessment, “Community Profile” for our service areas. That service area is comprised of nine counties in the San Francisco Bay Area: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sonoma, and West Solano. The purpose of the Community Profile is to identify unmet needs in the service area, help us prioritize our grantmaking, focus our education activities, and direct our public policy efforts.
