Start a Race for the Cure Team
A unique feature of the Race for the Cure is our team competition.  A Race Team is a group of individuals (minimum of 10) who register for the Race and participate as a group under one team name.  Motivation to form a team varies from walking in memory of a loved one to simply wanting to demonstrate team spirit or wanting to collectively show support of the promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to save lives and end breast cancer forever.  One member of the team must be designated the “Team Captain" and indicate that they are the team captain upon registering online.  Click here for instructions on how to start your team.

Register Now(Be sure to click on the "Form a Team" button on the right hand side of the screen.)

What does the Team Captain do?
The Team Captain is the first one to register and does so online, by clicking the “Form a Team” button on our Race website.  Others can then join the team by clicking the “Join an Existing Team” button and entering the team name.  Teams may consist of any combination of runners, walkers, Kids for the Cure participants and/or Sleep for the Cure participants.

Roles of the Team Captain

Do you want to reserve a table in our Teams Area on Race Day?
Team Captains may request team tables only if there are 20 or more members on their team by the reservation deadline. PLEASE NOTE: We have increased the # of team members required for team table reservations due to a lack of space in our team table area. To ensure you are able to reserve a team table, be sure to recruit at least 20 people to join your team!

Fundraiser and Matching Gifts
Team members should send in fundraiser forms and checks under their individual names. Will your company match your fundraising? (Please note: In order to count towards a team’s fundraising total, company matching gift funds must be received before November 1, 2011.)
