YOUR TEAM, YOUR IMPACT

Participating in the Susan G. Komen San Francisco Affiliate Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. Rally around someone you know who was just diagnosed, who has fought the battle, or who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends and family, your team could make an even greater impact than you could alone.

The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. A team is comprised of 10 or more individuals. Teammates can be friends, family members, co-workers, or anyone who would like to join.  If you recruit enough people to form a team of 20 members or more, you can even reserve a table in our Teams Meeting Area on Race Day!

Fundraising is Easy with Online Tools!

When you register for the Race you automatically receive your own fundraising web site. Teams receive an additional Team fundraising page that Team Captains can customize with a photo and personal story. Your Team page is a website that friends and family can visit to find a team member or give a donation that supports the fundraising efforts of the entire team. Use your Team Race Website to tell friends and family why you participate in the Race for the Cure. You can even accept donations online! To make your page more dynamic, upload a link to a video clip or activate the blog feature. All of this and more is waiting for your Team once you register for the Race!

Have a shopping party at Sports Basement! Gather your team, friends and family and come shop at Sports Basement locations for a good cause! They will provide you with an assortment of food and drinks (beer, wine, soda) and most importantly, a 10% discount on EVERYTHING in the store. That 10% is available to be divided how ever you see fit in order to give back. Great option for team building or simply to have fun with your friends. All you need to do is decide on a date that works for everyone and they will take care of the rest!

GET PERSONALIZED UNIFORMS! Have your team stand out with personalized uniform shirts made specially for you by Sports Basement.
Different ways that the uniforms can benefit you:

• Unify your team by designing your team's uniform and wearing them on race day. 
• Raise money by selling your team uniforms! Example: Purchase 100 shirts at $8 each and sell them at $20 each and WA-LA, $1200 raised toward your cause! Your supporters will not only feel good helping you, but receive a tangible reminder in return!
