How does a 5k Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever?
Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.

You don't need to be a fundraising expert to be successful at it-you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference. In honor of the 21st Annual Race in 2011, we are challenging you to ask 21 of your friends to contribute $10 to your Race Fundraising Page. If each Race Participant reaches this goal, we will raise almost one million more than last year's fundraising total, and support even more services in our community. Together, we can save lives!

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you register for the Race, you will automatically receive access to your own fundraising website which can be easily personalized. Start now by logging in and sending an email to your friends and family, encouraging them to visit your fundraising site and make a donation on you behalf. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays in the local community! The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.
