Hooked on Driving presents Tracking the Cure - One lap at a time
Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California   
Friday, July 11th from 7:30am to 4:30 pm

Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, CA – For one day, the checkered flag will turn to PINK.

This summer, Hooked on Driving, and Thunderhill Raceway will partner to produce an event to benefit Susan G Komen for the Cure SF Bay Area. SGK is the largest network of breast cancer survivors and activists, fighting to save lives, empower people and ensure quality care for all.

Hooked on Driving, based in Northern California, produces high performance driving events held on closed course race tracks in Northern California, Southern California, Vegas and the East Coast. Our focus is on safety, fun and driving skills. This is not a race as HOD events are not competitive.

Tracking the Cure – One lap at a time, will be held at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA. on July 11, 2008 and will allow everyone to support the cause. HOD events provide in car coaching as well as classroom instruction – guaranteed to make you a better driver on the streets as well as the highway. We run 4 run groups from beginner to advanced, always with fun, safety, and skill progression in mind, A beginner women’s only run group and a mixed beginner run group start the day, as well as our veteran and advanced drivers in B and C groups. A simple tech inspection allows your daily driver to be track ready.

Hot Laps and Exhibition Rides will be available for those who prefer to experience the track in the passenger seat. Hot Laps are at a high speed aggressive pace.  Exhibition Rides allow the passenger to enjoy the track at a substantially slower tempo. Along with your donation, you can decide what car, speed and tempo you would like to experience Thunderhill.

Other attractions and activities will include a car corral, featuring vintage and new vehicles, vendor and exhibitor booths, multiple automotive demonstrations, as well as a silent auction, held in air-conditioned comfort, provided by Rabbit Office Automation.

This is the FIRST ever event of its kind, whether you Drive, Ride or Support you can help us make this a success and together we can make a difference. 

See you on July 11th.  Gate opens at 8:00. Track goes HOT at 8:45.

Kryolan Makeup Hosts Time 4 Beauty - To honor breast cancer survivors & patients

Starting Tuesday, May 20, and continuing on every third Tuesday of the month, 4-8pm
Kryolan Studio 132 Ninth Street, San Francisco

RSVP by the Thursday before the event you would like to attend by calling 1.800.KRYOLAN Open only to breast cancer survivors and patients.

Kryolan will host manis & pedis by Miss Marty's Beauty School, makeup stations by the Kryolan Makeup Staff, and wig fittings from the Masters of the SF Opera (participants must bring their own wigs to be styled). All professionals will be donating their time and expertise. 20 percent of all purchases made on the days of the events will go to the San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Beverages & Hors doeuvres will be provided.

For the second year, J Vineyards is selling a stylish hot pink, short-sleeved, zip-up cycling jersey with the iconic J logo and playful Brut Rose pink bubbles in the background. 10 percent of the proceeds will benefit San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The jersey can be purchased alone for $115 or paired with a bottle of J Brut Rose sparkling wine for $145. Pink wristband included.
