Dear Komen Friends,
We are pleased that in fiscal year 2010 the San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® awarded $1.2 million in local community grants to provide breast health education, screening, and treatment programs for medically underserved women. And, we directed $361,000 to the Susan G. Komen National Research Grant Awards program. We also engaged in public policy efforts on the state and federal level so that government programs will continue to include breast cancer patients and survivors and continued our efforts to facilitate collaboration and improve breast cancer health education in our community. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to create a world without breast cancer.
