What is a Cure Leader?

During the Race, Cure Leaders will share their enthusiasm, energy and educational chants at various stations along the Race course. Cure Leaders will have their own T-shirts as well as either megaphones, pom-poms or banners to help facilitate excitement and pass-on educational, emotional and motivational messages.

Cure Leaders are the official cheerleaders of the Race. Cure Leaders will lead sideline supporters in cheering on runners and walkers along the Race course while reminding them about the important steps everyone should take to care for their breast health.

What is a Rover?

Rovers will walk throughout the pre-Race crowd asking awareness questions, distributing prizes and directing participants and supporters to visit the Komen Education Booth. At the Komen Education Booth, Race participants can spin the prize wheel and pick up literature about breast self exams, screening and much more.

Who can be a Cure Leader or Rover?

Anyone can be a Cure Leader or Rover regardless of age, gender, or phsycial ability. As long as you have a voice to share the Komen message, you can support the Race.
